June 24 Cut-A-Thon benefits local high schooler
NEWTON. Salons in the local area are joining together to fundraise on behalf of Maria Fiore, a Newton High School junior who was injured in a serious car accident in May.


The Scissors Joint and Salon Fig, both in Newton, invite the public to come in for a hair cut on June 24 from 2-6 p.m., with 100% of the proceeds being donated to help pay the medical bills of Newton High School junior Maria Fiore, who was injured in a serious car accident in May. The salons invite other area salons to participate in the fundraiser. To join the effort call 973-383-7007.

To help pay the medical bills of Newton High School junior Maria Fiore, The Scissor Joint will partner with other salons in hosting a Cut-A-Thon on Monday, June 24 from 2-6 p.m.
All of the proceeds will be donated to pay the medical expenses of Maria Fiore. She was in a severe car accident in May of this year and is still recovering from her injuries. Help support Maria Firore and her family with a minimum donation of $25 for a wash & cut only. Walk-ins only, and only on June 24. You may request a stylist if available when you arrive at the salon. The salon owners emphasize that "Together we are Newton Strong."
