Pass It Along Event on June 8

SPARTA. Active, reserved, and retired military members and their families are invited for a stand down at 9 a.m. until noon on June 8.

Pass It Along will hold its 4th annual Stand Down for Veterans at 9 a.m. until noon on Sunday, June 8, 2019 at Sparta Evangelical Free Church, 429 Lafayette Rd. in Sparta. The event, sponsored by First Hope Bank and various nonprofit vendors, is open to retired, active, or reserved members of the military and their families.

"The stand down is always an incredible event for us here at pass it along," said Kathy Rathbone, director of programs for Pass It Along.

"These veterans have incredible stories, and through this event, we not only get to hear them but we get to provide essential services these local heroes need."

Attendees are wlecome to join teen volunteers for breakfast at the start of the day's events.

Sponsors include; A Cut Above Barbershop, Atlantic Health System, Division of Senior Services, Family Promise of Sussex County, Legal Services of Northwest Jersey, Inc., NAMI Sussex, Real House Ink, Sussex County Community College, The American Legion: Department of New Jersey, Vietnam Veterans of America, Zufall Health Center.
